Back to HS

Today was a long day at school. I had class from 8:15 until 5:00. I'm exhausted. I had french, principles of marketing, and finally intercultural management.

Principles of marketing seems a little like I'm back in high school. Ipag is a little like high school to be honest  with you. I mean, it's all one building, not a big campus. They are very strict on being on time. My principles of marketing teacher said she would lock the door. She had to remind us that there is no talking during lecture, no computers during lecture, this is how to take notes, blah blah blah.

Most of my classes are only exchange students, but principles of marketing also has french Ipag students. The whole high school thing might be because of the cultural difference between french students and other students. She was saying that french students show up late, they talk during class, things like that. And also, the french students in my class are first years, so this class was pretty much their first day of college ever!

I'm so used to most professors and lectures being really laid back. We're adults. They don't care what we do. I spent my four years at BCHS...I don't need to go back!

Oh well, I guess that's why I'm here...to experience cultural differences.

So after high school, I made a quick stop to the monoprix and then headed home. For dinner I made what I like to call a french quesadilla! I really wanted to make a quesadilla but at the monoprix they only shredded cheese they had was french cheese so...I tried it. It wasn't a horrible quesadilla, but not a Mexican one.

Oh and you know what I saw at the monoprix today?...PEANUT BUTTER! I didn't think they had any in France but I saw one little jar. I had brought my own Skippy's from home. Two jars in fact because I didn't think I would find any. Ask any European though and they will say they hate peanut butter!

So now I'm just super tired from class all day. And if you saw ma mere's comments from yesterday, she found out how to say goodbye in Avatar!
